I AM Logan Square: Who we are, what we're about, and what we've been up to...
We're not dead.
I AM Logan Square has been around for a while -- 9 years, as a matter of fact -- it stands for Independent Artists and Merchants of Logan Square. You may know us for putting up the Logan Square Arts Festival, previously the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival, til we moved over by the Illinois Centennial Monument.
BLAH BLAH LSAF WAS LIT
Right now, I AM Logan Square is working with the Koz Park Advisory Council on some fundraising events for the park.Kosciuszko Park is the largest park in Logan Square and serves a diverse community through its programs, field house, and indoor pool. The field house, built in 1914, offers a gymnasium, assembly hall, and community meeting rooms. Outside, the park has four baseball diamonds, an artificial-turf soccer field, a tennis court, and a soft-surface ADA-accessible playground with a water feature. Through these events, we are hoping to build greater awareness about Koz Park in the Logan Square community, as well as raise funds for improvements in the parks facilities. Please feel free to check out these awesome events.
Coming up toward the end of the month, Koz park is delighted to host the Midnight Circus! On September 30th and October first, don't be surprised to see a great big tent set up right in the middle of Koz Park. The Midnight Circus has been a traveling fundraiser at the Chicago Park District parks for over a decade, raising over $850,000 in that time with their awesome spectacle productions.
Eat. Drink. Sit. Stay. Come on over to Elastic Arts on Friday, October 20th for this great fundraiser to build a dog park for Kosciuszko Park!IAMLS has brought together some of Chicago’s most-renowned cocktail creators and Revolution Brewing for a night of drinks, DJs, and doggone fun. Dog parks (or dog friendly areas) provide essential off-the- leash exercise for our four-legged friends and help build stronger communities. Just as parents get to know their neighbors at a playground, doggie parents gets to know each other at a dog park. Let’s help build a stronger community around Kosciuszko Park and help bring a dog park to the west side of Logan Square.
